Capcom Shows Off Split-Screen Deep Down Gameplay

It's one of the most anticipated next-gen titles on the horizon.

Capcom's Deep Down may adopt the free-to-play business method, which is always controversial, but it still looks like a great multiplayer dungeon-crawler.

The publisher released some new gameplay today and even though it's in Japanese, it gives us a great look at some in-game action. We also get to see split-screen gameplay with two and four players, and a peek at what appears to be a gigantic boss. Personally, I miss split-screen fun so this is like stepping back in time…only with next-gen technical elements.

Still no word on exactly when Deep Down will drop for the PlayStation 4, but it'll probably be some time next year.

Visually this looks really good, really excited to see 4 player local co-op! Only thing that bothered me is the player animations are all exactly the same, really noticeable when the characters all "breathe" in unison. Hopefully they introduce some variation as development continues.

if it turns out to be co-op like i thought i heard would be a great co-op game but yeah the free to play was a major turn off for me i' a bit sick of free to play games that i haven't already played

maplestory combat arms and runes of magic i'm looking at you

so i'm a bit meh on this but in saying that theres always people who will play a game no matter wat the business model it operates on i'm a bit more pricniple based on these things than i use to be but hey watever just not me

happy gaming
