Ben-DutkaGrand Theft Auto V is coming to next-gen consoles, and publisher Take-Two Interactive says it's gonna be pretty damn sweet.
During a recent MCV interview , Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that "nothing but the very best will satisfy Rockstar Games" and they intend to really impress gamers:
"They want to blow consumers away. Whatever the expectation is, they want to exceed it. When you see GTA V on next-gen, I want you to tell me whether it is or isn't better than your expectation. I can guarantee it will be better."
GTAV was the best-selling game of 2013 and Take-Two shipped over 34 million copies of the currently available PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Zelnick took the comical approach to this success, saying that there are 7 billion people on earth, which means they "have over 6.9 billion people left to address." And of course, he has no doubts that GTAV on PS4 and Xbox One will sell like hotcakes; after all:
"GTA is the standard bearer in the industry. How can you buy a next-gen console and not want to play GTA on it?"
Boasting better graphics, more densely populated areas and increased draw distances, the upgraded GTAV will undoubtedly be awfully appealing. Zelnick added that they're not trying to offer the minimum acceptable quality and profit by it; rather, they want to "delight consumers and monetize it." Well, call it whatever you want. GTAV is gonna be huge once again.

I think GTA5 on my PS3 looks good enough. I paid full price for it on release date and don't need to buy it again.
For those that waited for this version, enjoy it. It was certainly the best game that I played in 2013 (loved Ni No Kuni as well).

A man after my own heart. I loved GTA, online is still cool now and then. Also LOVED Ni No Kuni. However I'm also going to buy this one too. There are a couple other games I will probably pass on so this one is on the deck for me.
This is probably sacrilege but I will pass on Destiny and Hardline for at least for a little bit and get this.
Also, WHEN THE @*&$%^@% IS IT COMING OUT!!!
I'm not sure if this has been confirmed or not. Will there be some sort of discount for upgrading to the PS4 version if you already own the PS3 version?
I've never been more confident in a decision to wait before.

It's got to be better than TLoU Remaster. Because that looked like a direct port to me. 60 frames per second was nice though.
GTA V is popping up again. This means that a release date is coming soon. They're building hype little by little.
I skipped on the PS3 version hoping it came out on next gen… Glad i did now… But not sure when it comes out though
i know my friend is looking forwad to GTA on the PC or ps4 so i'm happy for him as for me i prefer just cause just a personal thing.

HD remakes are VERY rarely truly that.
normally just the last game with a higher more solid performance and a few extra bells and whistles, nothing to write home about.
wish they would hurry the &^%$ up and announce a release date though, or at least show us SOMETHING!
one thing i hate about 2K, they always announce a game and then suddenly loose their tongue for the next few months.
