If you're wondering why you haven't seen a release date for next-gen versions of Minecraft , here's a partial answer.
As developer 4J Studios announced on Twitter , there are still bugs lurking in the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Vita versions of the game:
"We're still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs. We'll let you know when we hand over to the [certification] testing teams!"
These versions were expected to launch this month but maybe that won't happen. It seems to be annoying some gamers, as they're none too happy with this little piece of information (just check out some of the responses on Twitter). Still, you can always check out the record-breaking title on PS3, Xbox 360 or PC. Also, don't forget if you already own one of those versions, you can upgrade to a next-gen iteration for only $5. Your saves transfer over, too.

I didn't realize it was only $5 to upgrade. Excellent! I was on the fence about getting it but I can deal with it only being five bucks.
So what can I upgrade to if I own the PC version?
