Destiny Beta Feedback Was “Nearly Universally Positive”

Well, it's a good thing Bungie doesn't have to make any drastic changes, 'cuz the game's launch is only a month away.

Still, this means the beta must've gone quite well. During an Activision Blizzard investors call this week (as cited by GameSpot ), Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed that they were able to "test everything at scale and everything held up well."

He added that feedback was "nearly universally positive" and fully expects Bungie to deliver a fantastic product:

"That said, as you might imagine, we learned a lot by watching players engage with the game and hearing their feedback and Bungie is now making tweaks to optimize the game and they actually did so after the alpha as well, so that's going to be, I think, an ongoing process to make it a better experience and nothing is more important to us or to Bungie than delivering a great experience to our community and the beta certainly helped us do that."

Hirshberg finished by saying that the necessary changes will be "tweaks" and nothing major, which is always good news. Most certainly do agree that the beta test was excellent, so it looks like smooth sailing ahead for Bungie and Activision. Millions are anticipating Destiny 's launch on September 9, as evidenced by retailers unable to meet pre-order demand .

I played the ps3 beta for a few hours and found it to have solid, responsive controls. I also found the underlying lore interesting. What concerns me, is that if I get the retail version, after several hours of relatively repetitive gameplay, besides the rpg-like upgrading, what else will hold my attention?

4hr+ end game raids with what Bungie has said will be some of the hardest content ever experienced on a home console.

Plus we already have two expansions on the way so you can play vanilla till you grow tired of it then pop back in for the expansions.

Also you mentioned PS3 so have some good news your profile is tied with the Bungie servers and not your console so if you play on PS3 and then decide to get a PS4 no worries you will start from right where you last left off, this only works on PS3-PS4 or 360-X1 btw no cross brand saving.

Or you could just buy the Bungie PS4 bundle if you had planned on getting a PS4 soon anyways it will even include the Vanguard armory preorder bonus.

We may have lost Insomniac, but a least we got Bungie onboard now.

This'll be great!

Only trade i would approve is at the end of a strike or raid ( trading reward before leaving the mission ) .I want people to deserve their loot .
