While the PlayStation 4 doesn't really have any world-ending exclusives right now, I have no doubt that it will.
Titles like Bloodborne , Uncharted 4: A Thief's End , The Order: 1886 , and whatever Quantic Dream, Sony Santa Monica and Guerrilla Games are working on are inevitable. And I say several of them will be head-and-shoulders ahead of anything else on the market when they arrive.
That being said, what game not coming to Sony's console do you really want? Is it a game that might convince you to buy a competing machine if you don't own it already? Is it Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U, which made such a tremendous splash at E3? Or, is it Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One, the Insomniac-made exclusive that looks like a ton of fun? Then again, maybe it's a PC exclusive that shows no signs of going the console route. I'd probably go with Sunset Overdrive , just because I have tremendous respect for – and faith in – the guys at Insomniac.
How's about you?
Sunset Overdrive
I dont understand why insomniac would leave sony to work on Xbox one. Those guys emphasized many times they want to try something new, how is the hardware any different than ps4 such that the experience is worth ditching a great partner? If they wanted to make a mobile game, wii u, or even kinect only game, I can try to understand, The gaming style is night and day with hardcore ps4, but xbox one?!
godsman,
Insomniac wanted ownership over their new IP and Sony wasn't willing to let them have it. It's why they went with EA for Fuse, and Microsoft for Sunset Overdrive. Their company retains the rights, rather than the publisher.
And they are still a partner with Sony. The upcoming Ratchet and Clank remake/reboot/tie-in is being handled by Insomniac.
If it's anything like their other new iPhone it's not going t of b e that great
All the good upcoming X1 exclusives — Sunset Overdrive, Ori and the Blind Forest, Quantum Break. Can't wait to play em'.
Ori looks fantastic. I hope that comes to PC…indies usually do.
I read somewhere that it was coming to Windows, and I see that the wiki page says it's coming to Windows, so I hope that it actually does because it really does look awesome.
Agreed.
Mmm…
Probably the master chief thing. Only for the first two, the rest are bad. And that MNetroid Prime on the 3DS game that hasnt been announced yet.
Oh, Civilization space thing. I forgot what its called. Thats about it.
Star Citizen, Hearts of Iron 4 and Runemaster. I'm hopeful we may eventually see Star Citizen and Runemaster at some stage. Hearts of Iron 4 would be borderline unplayable without mouse/kb support, so I doubt that'll show up. Got a PC that can handle them though, so if I have to I'll play 'em on there.
Were I healthier, Sunset Overdrive and the Halo games would have me pining for an XB1, but they're a bit fast-paced these days to get me really excited about.
Star Citizen developers have already stated that the game will never be on consoles.
@ Geobaldi – actually, they haven't, Chris Roberts has stated that if they were allowed to update at their own clip and not need to go through Q&A, and if they could have PC/console cross-platform play, and someone would fund the port, then it'd be fine. War Thunder already has the first two, so it's just an issue of funding. I'm an original SC backer, and have been following issue closely ;).
Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break
Monster Hunter
A game not being made at all I want to play next gen is Parappa the rapper
Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles X
Sunset Override.
That unnamed Zelda game for Wii U (not Hyrule Warriors) and Bayonetta 2. Nothing exclusive on Xbox One grabs me.
Persona 5.
Persona 5 is to be released on PS3 and rumored development for PS4 and X1. Not sure if I missed something or you guys missed the point of the article.
Show me an article where Persona 5 is in development for the PS4 and X1. Please, the official statement is PS3 only.
Not the article I originally found, but this article offers speculation and how Atlus tends to port their Persona games to as many platforms as possible.
http://www.examiner.com/article/persona-5-unannounced-ps4-game-and-more-e3-2014-reveals-discussed-by-atlus
Then we have this article that states Atlus is ready to move on from last-gen.
http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2014/08/02/atlus-ps4-games-development-in-the-cards/
So yeah I've actually read both of those articles before and no where in there does it say or state that Persona 5 is being developed for the next gen consoles. Please reread. It says that Atlus is gearing up for future development on those consoles. Persona 5 at this time and when it comes out is still only on PS3.
The article is about 'what Xbox One exclusive' would you like to see on PS4.
Persona 5 is not an Xbox One exclusive is all I'm saying.
Persona 5 here as well.
I can't choose so I'll say something that's close to release in Bayonetta 2.
Unrealistic… Halo 5. Realistic… Sunset Overdrive. Really ticked that Sony dropped the ball on getting SO.
Sunset Overdrive is an obvious one. I really really hope it comes for PC sooner rather than later.
Star Citizen is another obvious purchase further into the future (it's due for late 2015 isn't it?). Looks like every sci-fi geeks dream come true – and running on the Cryengine too! Looks fantastic.
But there's also:
Wasteland 2, a classic style turn-based RPG with stats and skills and tweaks and stuff like they did'em in the old days, heavy on choice and consequence, all set in a post-apocalyptic world.
StarForge also looks great. A sci fi survival sandbox game, think Minecraft only with "regular" game graphics and a sci-fi theme.
A similar game is Planet Explorers, an open world sandbox RPG game set on a distant planet, where crafting and exploring is the focus.
Planetary Annihilation looks insane. It's a strategy game with an enormous scope span – you go all the way from the ground level up to galactic level. It's hu-u-uge.
Best of all is that all of the above is scheduled for release this autumn. So yeah, lotsa great stuff coming up now!

Planetary Annihilation is pretty good in it's current form but still needs some work as it's early access right now. Starforge, not that great. I wouldn't even classify that one as an Alpha game yet as it plays more like an experimental game. Granted it is in early access as well so it still has time to grow. Wasteland 2 is really good right now, but as it's in early access also, there's still a lot of bugs that need to be wiped out. But it's coming along really nicely. Planet Explorers, also in early access, has potential and plays decent in it's current form. But you can see the makings of a really good game underneath all the buggy gameplay.
You've bought'em all already? You crazy MF!
I never bother with the early accesses/betas – I don't want to play'em, and especially not pay for'em. It only ruins the final experience for me.
So I'll wait for the final product and then consider a purchase based on reviews (or demos if available). I'm oldschool that way. 🙂
But I gotta say: PS4 + PC is *the* perfect combo. You got all bases covered then, and more games than a regular mortal can handle!
And best of all is that all of the above titles (except Sunset Overdrive) are confirmed for Linux too! Good days.

I want Star Citizen. But not on PS4.
Temmy, the question isn't "what non-ps4 games do you want on PS4", only "what non-ps4 game do you want the most". I see underline do that same mistake further down here.

I can't pick just one, so I'll make a list and check it twice. 🙂
Sunset Overdrive, Bayonetta 2 (especially since it comes with the first bundled in), Scalebound, I'd like to try out the Halo Collection, I wouldn't mind trying out Project Spark, Xenoblade X, and Torment: Tides of Numenera.
Wasteland 2.
I can't even remember how many hours I poured into that on my Commodore 64. Back when EA was a quality company…ah, those were the days.
Bayonetta 2 and Killer Instinct retail version.
yeah i think i can vouch for most ppl with ps4's and not XB1's that sunset overdrive cos most of us will have played shypro or rachet and we love insomnaic so for that reason we want to support them but i'm not sure i can buy and xbox just for that i need a bit more maybe one day but i'll have to live with out it for awhile.
happy gaming
nothing really.
whole point of exclusives is to be exactly that, exclusives.
if sunset overdrive was a MP game it probably wouldnt be as good a game as it will be.
same goes for the wiiu exclusives, ninty always has a certain charm to their games and that would be destroyed bringing it state side.
only game thats not on ps4 which i wish was are the last gen games not making a crossover like borderlands the prequel, and the last gen AC.
Xenoblade Chronicles X (and while I'm at it, go back for the original).
That's really the only thing I feel awful about missing
Believe it or not, the game that I wanted most is already coming to the PS4…Plants vs Zombies. With split-screen co-op, that could prove to be hours of fun.
If I had to pick an X1 exclusive that I really would want to see on PS4, it'd be the Gears of War series. Hopefully 1886 will fill that void.
All the upcoming games I want are on PS3 too, or just the Vita:
Fairy Fencer F, Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star, NAtURAL DOCtRINE, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Freedom Wars, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, and Tales of Xillia 2.
Persona Q for the 3DS
Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark and Halo Collection
But remakez r baaad
normally I would agree with you, but over 100 multiplayer maps all 1080p and beta for Halo 5…not to mention that amazing Halo 2 anniversary trailer…stunning
I was being facetious.
So, DLC and a trailer are what make it great for you?
#doublestandards
Yes for now…and that is what trailers r for btw lol

Killer Instinct
Bayonetta 2
…and in that order of precedence
I can't say I would want to play a Mario or a Zelda on a PS unless Nintendo threw in the towel on hardware.
I want to jump on the Sunset Overdrive bandwagon, but while I think it looks like some silly fun it doesn't appeal to me like Killer Instinct or Bayonetta 2 does… or even a Ratchet game for that matter.
..And I wouldn't mind having the Halo remasters.
