These days, you can't just release a game and be done with it, especially when there's a strong online component involved.
That's why developer Evolution Studios has designed the PlayStation 4 exclusive racer, Driveclub , to be very…expandable.
According to game director Paul Rustchynsky (as cited by Examiner ), the team already has lots of great ideas as to how to enhance the Driveclub experience over time:
"We’ve always viewed it as a game that will evolve over time, growing with its players in the same way that you see the most popular social networks grow with their users.
We’ve already got lots of innovative ideas to extend the experience and we’ve already announced the powerful dynamic weather system we’ve been working on, which is just one of the ways we’ll be expanding the game. We have more lined up to unveil in the coming weeks and months, too."
Originally, the game was supposed to be a PS4 launch title, but Evolution needed more time. Now that it's launching nearly a full year later, expectations will be high. As for the future, provided fans of the genre really get attached to Driveclub , future content should be welcomed with open arms.

Come on guys. It's been like 3 hours and no one has posted.
….
I look forward to this more now knowing that The Crew isn't quite my thing. I like the idea of a focused racer as found in Drive Club. I can respect the Crew for being a solid feeling sandbox style racer, where driving and racing are blended together in one ball, akin to like Burnout Paradise. But if you're like me, you'll want to just skip the wandering around and joy riding and just get right to the racing. I mean, really, if I were to play a Golf game, I wouldn't want to have to manually walk or ride in a cart to my next shot before taking it. No for me it's all about the race and not all the other stuff. It sort of feels like wasting time otherwise.
but I will say there's a neat little site seeing touring aspect to The Crew, where the whole United States is represented in the game as one massive map. So basically you can be driving through farmer Bob's corn crops one minute, like where Superman was actually found, then hop on the highway and be driving around in metropolitan Chicago 5 min later.

what do u want us to say?
YAAYYYY a wannabe gran turismo killer?
theyre saying things no one else has ever said?
like omg online play with other racers around the world is gonna be so kool!1!
theres nothing to say but, okay cool, bring it on. actions are louder than words. show us your game then we will see if it lives up to its hype.
Why couldn't you just say those last 2 lines?
I'm not sure why but I'm actually looking forward to this more than The Crew now. Could be because The Crew is probably going to have A LOT of problems. Its so huge of a world, but being a Ubisoft game, its going to have some issues. They can't blame the animus either.
Racing Broodborne.
Oh, really Evolution? Well, do tell, please. >.>
why do i get the sense this is another bigger bark then its bite kind of game?
kinda the whole industry these days everythings so over hyped its inevitable its going to end out a disaster!
oh well, hurry up and sweep this facebook game under the table and get back to the motorstorm franchise!
or a car combat game, i can see evolution being the perfect studio to resurrect and modernize twisted metal!
i'll be looking forward to that come release day
happy gaming
