Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor’s Release Date Moved Up

Well, this is a refreshing change of pace.

It seems like we can't make it a month without hearing about another big delay. So, it's nice to learn about games that are actually being pushed up .

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that Monolith's anticipated action/strategy title, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor , will launch in North America on September 30 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It'll arrive a few days later on October 2 for PC.

It's not a huge difference, as the previous date was October 7, but it remains a nice piece of news. On top of which, it gives this game a little breathing room, as October is a very crowded month and October 7 was especially crowded. Dragon Age: Inquisition , Driveclub , NBA 2K15 and Alien: Isolation are all scheduled to hit store shelves that day. Now, Middle-earth gets a one-week head-start on that craziness.

This is really great news! It's either this or ALIEN Isolation for me. I have a decision to make. I will make the decision as we get closer to launch. I will be heavily into Destiny by then as well. Glad development is going well for them. Looks like a special game.

Been a huge Monolith fan since I popped in Shogo on my newly bought Pentium 500 mhz with a Monster 3D card. FEAR and Condemned did not disappoint last gen so my hopes are pretty high. Combat looks awesome.

I was hoping it would be August but i'll take it. October is going to be tough. I want this, 2K15, and Inquisition. I may wait on Inquisition though, because I'm a little skeptical about it (less skeptical than I was about Skyrim though and we see how that turned out)

Yeah Skyrim is pretty amazing – started it again last week as haven't played it for a long while.

Inquisition looks like it could be amazing, as does Shadow of Mordor. Think October might be the month I finally get a PS4
