At least this one sticks around for the holiday season.
On the same day that saw Battlefield: Hardline delayed until 2015 , EA had some more bad news for anticipatory gamers.
This news isn't quite so terrible, though: Dragon Age: Inquisition has been pushed back to November 18. The game was initially set to arrive on October 7.
Let's not forget that the game was actually supposed to launch last fall, but developer BioWare obviously needed a lot more time. Now, executive producer Mark Darrah explains via press release that they require another five weeks of polish:
"This last bit of time is about polishing the experience we want you to see. Ensuring that our open spaces are as engaging as possible. Strengthening the emotional impact of the Hero's choices. And ensuring the experience you get is the best it can be in the platform you choose to play on."
Darrah adds that he appreciates "the enormous support" BioWare has received from the fans, and promises that everyone will benefit from this delay. But in a year where we can't seem to go a month without hearing about another high-profile delay, we have to admit…such news is getting a little tiresome.

Kinda sucks, but I would have been pissed if the shipped a glitchy game!
I'll just busy myself with the RPGs Bound By Flame and Pirates of the Flying Fortress.
Are you going for the platinum in Bound by Flame?
It seems easy to get except for beating it on the highest difficulty. That could take a while.
Well if it actually releases in November it can be a part of my birthday present, so I'm ok with that.
That's too bad.
In other news, I'm gonna see about a PS4 a little earlier than usual. I hate trading in games as I'm a collector, but my local EB Games has a deal where if you trade in any $8+ trade-in value game, it will count as $50 towards a PS4. There's no limit apparently. So if I can find 8 games with decent trade in value, that should essentially be $400 off a PS4. I have about 70 PS3 games, so hopefully there's something.
bump bump bump, and another one bites the dust!
sigh, knew i should of trademarked that years ago it would of made me millions!
no, seriously though, WTF is going on with all these delays!?
$ony whipping their cock out oh we had developers in on the design of ps4, and development kits, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY earlier than we did any other system.
yea, so is that why almost every game due to release this year has been delayed to next!?
yea, totally so much earlier!!!!!!
not to mention were still yet to see anything on most of $onys first party studios.
at this rate theres going to be nothing worth buying a ps4 for till f*cking 2016!
over 2 freaking years after the system launched!!!!!!!!
In your opinion.
Zero qualms with this. Alien: Isolation AND Shadow of Mordor look like essential fall titles, and most of us will still be neck deep in Destiny at that point. I for one am relieved I get a little more breathing room!
well i'm all for releasing finished games.
happy gaming
