Well, have no fear: According to Junkie Monkeys , it seems GameStop will offer consumers a pretty decent deal: Trade in TLoU on PS3, get TLoU on PS4 for only $25. This means you're getting the upgraded version for half price.

Seems feasible. The ps3 pre-owned is selling for $34.99 ($31.50 for rewards members), yielding a profit traded and sold a new copy.
I would definitely do this — anyone else have some serious load time issues with the PS3 version? I didn't on my first playthrough, then I had to replaced my old 2008 Fat PS3 with a super slim and just installed my old 500 GB hard drive on it. Every game works great but not Last of Us. I'm talking 5 minute load times in places and even a few crashes. I'm guessing the hard drive is to big/slow? At any rate, this is the exact sort of excuse I'd need to upgrade to a remastered, smooth-playing version of one of my fave last-gen games.

initial loads and big new chapter loads take longer, shouldn't be hanging though.

Not bad at all Gamestop has been good lately( I'm impressed) got my PS4 with Watchdogs at 10 bucks and Infamous Second Son at 40.
