Okay, so now you can scare yourself half to death a week earlier.
Shinji Mikami's freaky survival/horror thriller, The Evil Within , was originally supposed to launch at the end of August. But then it got pushed to October 21, much to the disappointment of fright fans everywhere.
Now, however, a scrap of good news: As announced at the game's Twitter page , the anticipated title will now release on October 14 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It's only a week but hey, earlier is earlier. The only downside for developer Tango Gameworks and publisher Bethesda is that this game still launches in a jam-packed October, when competition is at its peak in the industry.
But what else is like The Evil Within ? Alien: Isolation , perhaps?
