Assassin’s Creed: Unity Trailer Highlights Revolution Gameplay

It's time to become even more excited for Assassin's Creed: Unity , if that's actually possible.

Ubisoft has published a new gameplay trailer for this year's next-gen franchise entry, and we're treated to several assassinations, and a fantastic view of 18th-century Paris during the French Revolution.

The narrator is likely the protagonist, Arno, and he talks about his motives behind participating in the historical Revolution. You'll lead the rebels as they fight back against the French nobility:

"For centuries my countrymen have suffered under the ignorant and decadent aristocracy. So I will wage my silent war in the shadows; the time has come for revolution, for those to unite and make history."

This is one of the slickest and most impressive trailers yet for Unity , and it shows off the game's technical fortitude. There's no doubt that this should qualify as a true "next-gen" experience, despite the fact that "next-gen" is an awfully subjective term. Just watch this:

This looks…like AC4.

Also, whats up with all this epic cool lingo, when it never delivers? AC revelations trailer showed all kinds of epicness and the game didn't nearly deliver a satisfying ending to the two assassino's. Skipping this one, and this time I mean it.

One of the things I feel would improve Assassin's Creed for me would not necessarily be new features, but the fine crafting of existing ones: namely the combat and parkour.
I feel like if these were more satisfying to actually do as satisfying as they are to watch, it would really bring the package together for me:
Giving the main character a sense of weight when in the air jumping, there being some sort of difficulty or challenge to climbing, and combat being more responsive.

They should have ended this series with Revelations.
It's basically dead in the water now.
