Don't worry, the PlayStation 4 should really impress in 2015 and beyond.
With major exclusives like The Order: 1886 , Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Bloodborne not launching until next year, this year's PS4 lineup isn't all that impressive. At least, that's what the majority of our readers think.
While many said this year's exclusive selection is "good," most said it's merely average, and we're sure they're all looking forward to next year. We will get the promising racer Driveclub along with the charming LittleBigPlanet 3 , but that's about it for top-tier 2014 PS4 exclusives. Still, it often takes time for a new PlayStation to get going and of course, the future is bright.
Now, Sony has hinted at the possibility of an Uncharted Remaster of some kind; perhaps they'd remaster the original, or all three. What would you prefer? Would you like to see one particular installment redone and revamped for the new generation of hardware? Or would you rather not see one at all? What say you?
Can't vote because you left out the all of the above option.
A year-late first party racing game that can't even do 60 frames per second and a cross-gen 2D platformer. 'Meh' is a compliment.
Some people actually voted good. That's the damnable pity of it. That people will accept it. Sony knows they can sell, or in this case not sell, anything to these marks.
Console specific site so you're always going to get some people who will just accept anything the corporate mother throws out there. Fortunately it seems most know that this is bs. PS4 provides the best multiplat experience so I'm not going to be trading in the the console but Sony needs to step the freaking heck up and it's only going to start if they reduce Yoshida's role. Keep him around, but he shouldn't be at the forefront making key decisions. His most recent comments are him kissing the rearend of Nintendo. It's great to know he doesn't understand why a lot of people want AAAs on their $400 console as opposed to indies and is a lover of everything Nintendo provides. That is the man controlling PS4's future and it is deeply concerning.

Yoshida= Kutaragi 2.0
It all depends on perspective when voting. I said, "Eh, it's not really impressive" because in the grand scene of year to year comparisons, it will be one of the weaker if not weakest. I didn't say terrible because the exclusives that have come aren't exactly train-wrecks. Nothing 9+ in my books, but not terrible.
However, if you look at it from the perspective of what everyone should have expected from year 1, saying "good" isn't unjustified.

yeah well unchartered remastered wud certainly help but i wudn't say i makes it acceptable a bit more in teh way of options wud be nice
happy gaming
I remember a friend telling me he went to trade in a few games and Gamestop only gave him 50 cents for Uncharted 3. I mean, everyone has played it and the game still looks amazing compared to current gen games. The only way I would be slightly interested is if they gave Uncharted the Resident Evil Gamecube/ Fable and Halo Anniversary treatment and actually updated the graphics with the UC4 engine not just the 60 frames, 1080p cop out.
Your friend either got ripped off by an employee or he's lying. Current gamestop trade in value for Uncharted 3 is $5.
not 2014 = meh, more like 2014 & 2015 = meh!
still dont know what so many of $onys FPS are working on!
so frustrating $onys constantly c*ck waving made for developers we had developers in the design process so early.
right, so if they were in the design process so early, most devs have had access to kits for over 4 freaking years now, so why are we still a year after release, still waiting for so many developers to show there games?
at this rate games are going to be in development for over 6 freaking years!
uncharted aparently took 4 years to make, and that was learning new alien architecture AND creating a whole new engine from scratch!
AND creating the franchise itself, coming up with the concepts characters everything!
ND would of had access to dev kits for years now, by the time uncharted 4 comes out it would of been in development for even longer than the original uncharted, and its reusing all the assets from 3, same engine, slightly reworked tools, and on a well known ancient architecture!
i just cant understand what the blazing hell is taking so god dam long!
it takes 4 years to create things from scratch and learn new things, but it takes say 5 years to create things from templates and on a foundation you learned your skills on!
the original uncharted was by far the best so if anything that should get a HD remaster.
if there going to do it though they should remaster it in the uncharted 4 engine, a true HD remake not just the ps3 game upscaled in 1080P and a higher frame rate.
if your going to do it then it should be like the halo anniversary collection, the old game but totally retooled in a brand new engine designed for the new system, and completely retextured.
id be interesting to see what uncharted could of looked like if it was designed for ps4.
To be honest it doesnt seem like there is much at all coming out this year that will really wow me. Right now I just feel like I have wasted money on my ps4. There isnt anything innovative atm at all just a bunch of ported games.
I wouldn't mind a remaster of the original. Though the second one had much better combat set pieces, I really liked the variety of environments and the story in the first one.
It'll take a whole lot more than that to get me to buy a PS4 though. I'm perfectly happy to wait until there are actually enough new IP's and first party exclusives to make it worth a purchase. Until then I'm still playing Skyrim on my PC.
Like I said at the beginning of this generation, the sky-high cost of game development is going to mean that we'll see fewer and fewer games, and it it looks like I was right.
