While Sony says not enough PS4 owners have played The Last Of Us , we know a lot of our readers certainly have.
And yet, that's obviously not stopping them from picking up the new Remastered edition later this month. Per our latest poll results, the majority of participants said they're absolutely grabbing this new and improved edition. Many more said they'll "probably" get it, but not right away.
It's just one of those games that generates a lot of discussion and debate, simply because of the amount of praise and acclaim it received. Now that it's getting even better, the fans are jubilant while the naysayers remain firmly entrenched in their negativity. Well, whatever; the more people who get a chance to play Naughty Dog's instant classic, the better.
This week, many gamers have complained about the lack of top-tier AAA exclusives for the PlayStation 4 in 2014. With Uncharted 4: A Thief's End , Bloodborne and The Order: 1886 not releasing until 2015, and no announcement of a new God of War or Gran Turismo for the holidays, we're basically left with Driveclub , Planetside 2 and LittleBigPlanet 3 , among a few others. But is that enough…?

Despite PS4s major popularity their exclusive line up since launch is pathetic. It's a rolling calamity. Mediocre Killzone, cheesy watered down inFamous, an upcoming remaster and those upcoming unexciting games are troubling.
The good part is I won't have to spend much money.
and the 1/3 of PS4 owners who didnt owna PS3 before …..
Aren't Planetside 2 and LBP on other consoles and platforms? So really the only exclusive is Driveclub….*sigh*
Nope they belong to Sony.
No, sir. That's not how it works. You know that. Feisty tonight, arent you?
Kid is talking about single system exclusivity. LBP3 is coming out on Ps3 and Planetside 2 is out on PC. Driveclub is the only Ps4 exclusive coming out anytime soon.
Details details 🙂
Concerning LBP3, from my understanding it's a PS4-only title designed specifically for the PS4. During the E3 2014 Sony press conference I don't recall any mention of a PS3 release. I did read on Wikipedia that this title is listed to be available on the PS3/PS4, but on http://us.playstation.com/ only the PS4 logo appears. Hmmm. I'm not sure what to believe at the moment concerning platforms for that title. However I'm pretty sure that LBP is published by Sony, thus Sony owning the rights though?
Having a whole lot of extra cash and space for the XBOX ONE and Nintendo Wii U I would love to have those as well for the exclusive franchises/titles of interest.

Although if we're talking about title/franchise totally system/console exclusivity, yeah I guess you are right @KidPresentable. In regards to LBP, true there's a LBP game on PSP and PSV, however they are still NOT LBP3 though (which I'm not even sure is coming to the PS3). =P
tomato-tomahto.
Meeeh only fanboys care about console exclusives. There well be plenty of other games this fall to keep people busy. besides Driveclub, Planetside 2 and LittleBigPlanet 3 theres also Dragon Age: Inquisition, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Battlefield Hardline, The Evil Within, The Evil Within, Evolve, Assassin's Creed Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, The Crew, Far Cry 4 & Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix in december. that plenty of games right there & yes ik they aint console exclusives but in the end who cares.
Really? I think everyone cares about exclusives. The best of the best on any given console is always something exclusive to that console.
There are no multiplats that compare to the epicness of Halo, TLoU, and Zelda. (Or insert your favorite exclusive in place of the ones I listed… whatevs. The point remains.)
what 6M+ sales is not enough!?
seriously!?
typical $ony…….
as for this years lineup neither really.
this years lineup looks pretty pathetic.
hell even next years is pretty poor.
we have the order early next year and thats it nothing else has set dates yet.
yea theres bloodborne or whatever its called, and uncharted 4 but whether they actually release next year or get delayed like the order and driveclub did who knows.
You mean 9 million, right?
Well I haven't even played it yet, so I definitely plan to add it to my collection eventually. I'd get just about any remaster even if I had it and especially if I didn't have and was highly interested in it.
I don't think that the lineup is anything unusual for a new system. Sony isn't forcing devs to push games, which is a good thing. The push could compromise quality. With most devs praising the ps4 and using it as the console of choice for demos/trailers. I'm not too worried. We have yet to know what this year will bring in announcements. I don't think Sony unloaded all of their cards at e3.
Great point about the push.
People complain about everything in life, really. I always compare my complaints to the question, "Ok… but what are the alternatives?" Every early gen is like this, and if Sony pushed devs to release their games and give in to the hatred caused by delays, what kind of quality would we get?
I find honestly answering my question (to anything in life, really) can change my perspective on things I want to complain about.
I know they dropped the price to $50 already, but has there been any more rumors about further discounts for PS3 owners of TLoU?
Never mind, found my own answer. Apparently, there are multi-player supply bonuses and you're able to carry over hats, but that's about it.
Oh well, I'll still get it.

Sony needs to pull out Deep Down from deep in their bottoms and make it a 60$ game and not FTP.
But irregardless, the ps4 has plenty for me to play at the moment and even more on the ps3. The nice thing about having both previous and next gen consoles is that I have a big diversity of games in which to play. Even if most are available on both consoles if theres a game one really wants they will get it on the ps4. Xbox Ones exclusives are very craptastic and its already become another COD console, and they still aren't selling it very well.
The only thing anyone needs to think about is the games they can't wait to play. Mine being The Evil Within. Exclusive? Nope. SuperawesomefromMikamihimself? yes. Nothing wrong with wanting a non exclusive game for the holidays and people tend to go with the flow. PS4 will sell regardless this christmas and because of LBP3, parents will grab ps4 and that game for their little ones.
