You've got one chance.
The concept, in its purest form, doesn't sound particularly attractive; rather, it sounds particularly insane . But hey, the idea really appeals to those who want a challenge.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , Titan Souls arms you with a single, indestructible arrow, with which you must defeat massive titans. These boss battles are the "very core of the gameplay" and to make it extra punishing, there's no health bar: "A single strike will end your life." But at the same time, a single hit to a Titan's weak spot is all you'll need to emerge victorious.
Each Titan is "completely unique," however, so you'll have to discover how to expose that weak spot. Developer Devolver Digital won't be offering any obvious tutorials or prompts, either, so it's all up to you. Hope you're the observant, patient type! The idea arose from a game the team made in just one weekend last December; it was called "You Only Get One" and the idea included having only one health point. They didn't think it would work out, but the concept got plenty of positive feedback.
So now, Titan Souls is on track to launch early next year for the PlayStation 4 and Vita, as the designers have been working to create an all-new engine and a larger world with greater attention to detail.
Who's up for the challenge?
