If you're a fan of the hit TV series, you'll be all over this.
As reported by IGN , developer Platinum Games ( Bayonetta , Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance ) is working on The Legend of Korra .
It's a third-person hack-and-slash action title that acts as a companion to the Nickelodeon TV series of the same name. Players will control Korra, a woman who can control and "bend" elements. Korra is the Avatar, in that she's the only person in the world who can bend Earth, Wind, Fire and Water; all other "benders" can only control one element. Tim Hedrick, one of the show's writers, will handle the game's narrative.
Platinum also plans to provide us with an additional arena mode, called the Pro-Bending Arena, where you can throw down against other benders in epic 3-on-3 battles. The Legend of Korra is scheduled to launch later this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

On one hand, platinum is pretty good at what they do. On the other, licensed game announced shortly before the start of the next season and scheduled for release just a couple of months afterwards.
wtf? All that bending and avatars sounds like Avatar: The Last Airbender or whatever.
Don't think I've seen either show. Is it that american anime?
For someone that barely knows what it is, you pretty much nailed what it is. LOL
It's a sequel to the original series you mentioned on your post. And it is indeed 'American anime'.
The show is aimed for kids, though. But just like "My Little Pony", it also has a rather large adult fan base. But for different reasons.
Korra actually features a lot of sociopolitical babble that usually goes over the heads of most kids. But that many adults find appealing.
Anyways, it will be interesting to see how this game sells. Because the protagonist is a female.
In the animated world, the series has been a smashing success. Despite the lead being a woman. It will be interesting to see if that success will continue in the gaming world.
One of the best American anime I've seen. Very fond of the Avatar world.
The original Avatar probably is the best I've seen. Have not heard a single person say they dislike it.
I've kind of flipped by them while looking for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 🙂
I wonder if we'll be able to play as the greatest bender of all, Bender Bendington Rodriguez.
