If you're not convinced that this year's Battlefield iteration will be fresh enough, developer Visceral Games has some important info.
How is the new Hardline different than last year's Battlefield 4 ? Well, for starters, one is a standard military shooter and the other embraces the police realm. But it goes beyond this thematic change, so said lead multiplayer designer Thad Sesser during an E3 interview with PlayStation LifeStyle .
The new BF entry will boast a score of improvements and additions as compared to the BF4 formula. The team is especially focused on improving the Frostbite 3 engine. Said Sesser:
"We improved the vehicle physics and so on because, in a cops and criminal setting, vehicle collisions are way more important than in Battlefield. We're making fundamental changes under the hood to some of these systems. In terms of the UI, we still want it to be recognizably Battlefield, but we've got some changes."
He added that Visceral won't be recycling assets used in BF4. Players will appreciate brand new weapons, vehicles and gadgets, along with a "slew of new game modes." The bottom line is that this new Battlefield will be just that: New. Finished Sesser:
"I think you'll understand where the value proposition is with this game. There is a lot of new content. It's not just a re-skin or a re-use of assets. We've got all new assets, we got a lot of stuff still coming in."
Battlefield: Hardline is slated to hit store shelves in North America on October 21.

I cant wait until the game comes out. Even though it feels like it could be DLC…..the beta made me not care.
Cops! I don't like cops.
I now live in Wisconsin (a little over a year) and my love for the green doesn't fly well with this state's VERY strict laws. But one day, one day I shall migrate to Colorado!

You're next door man! Stay green.
Yeah I know, we've been over this before. I'm from south of Chicago then after college worked for a bit in the Quad Cities and now I'm in the Milwaukee area. Green has followed me everywhere since I was 15 🙂 I have several friends that prefer the booze and they're not nearly as successful as I am. Lets legalize this stuff already.
I'll believe that there are major differences when I have reviews and commentary that says so. In other words, guilty until proven innocent!
I deleted the beta, personally I thought it was tragic that they are squeezing another game out of what is essentially dlc fodder.
I did see footage of that new tom clancy terrorist vs cops game on the ps4 and that looks awesome. So I'm not against the idea when it's done right.

This game sucks. This is BF 4 without the bugs and BF 4 sucks .. with or without them.
bf4 doesnt suck. Its actually pretty damn good on ps4.
Ya BF4 is fantastic.
You'll find that this ethird trolls most articles. I think I agreed with him once.
This game (from only what I've seen) makes me think of Payday….but better?
