Advanced Warfare Multiplayer May Offer Long-Awaited Freshness

Ardent FPS fans have been calling for a multiplayer revolution in the Call of Duty franchise, and they just might get it.

During a recent Metro interview with Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey, we learn that the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare might be just what the doctor ordered.

Condrey said the multiplayer mode is a "big step forward" for the record-breaking franchise and while he didn't provide details, he did hint at the possible inclusion of the exosuit and other futuristic gadgetry. Said Condrey:

"Our multiplayer has what I'm going to call the biggest set of new, as you call it, cool gear that you've seen in a long time. It's a big step forward. From three years in development we've been able to innovate across the game. Everything you saw [in the game's E3 demo]… just imagine what that’s going to mean for multiplayer."

We've seen the exosuit on brief display during some single-player footage, and now it seems that futuristic sci-fi goodness will find its way into the multiplayer. And if it's true that the exosuit will have a hefty presence when playing against others, than we'd have to agree that Advanced Warfare online has the potential to be significantly fresh.

HA

So you'll make the aiming and shooting different? instead of having to aim you just shoot now and the game does the rest for you. AWESOME.

its a shame that bf may be going down the same road as cod with this new hardline game. Despite problems at launch bf4 on ps4 is brilliant and a real step up for people who played bf3 on ps3.
This new cod does look different and better "finally" graphics wise but still previous entries in the series leave me wondering is it really gonna be something new.
One thing I dont like already tho is the whole future thing. I'd prefer for them to stay in modern warfare.

I think with the last 4 or so cods modern warfare's been getting pushed to the limit in the cod franchise at least, to me this new one seems to have a few aspects of Crysis into it and crysis was pretty damn good, they've been aiming for fresh and I think this might be as far as they can go considering how "fresh" ghosts was.
