Well, that's the vibe we're getting, anyway.
From Software's new PlayStation 4 exclusive, Bloodborne , got quite the atmospheric CGI trailer during Sony's E3 press conference. We didn't get any gameplay at the time, but now it has surfaced.
If you recall, we actually saw pieces of this game before, when a few leaked snippets hit the Internet under the name, "Project Beast." Here's the official gameplay preview, which boats multiple deadly weapons, frightening foes, and plenty of combat situations. As this is the same developer that produced the Demon's Souls and Dark Souls games, the exceedingly dark and foreboding theme should be no surprise.
However, on the surface, this one looks to be somewhat more action-oriented. The battle on display here is definitely reminiscent of a more action-heavy franchise, like God of War …perhaps it'll be similar to the action/RPG Darksiders and if that's the case, I'm all in.
What do you think? Bloodborne is slated to launch in 2015; if you check the PlayStation Store, it currently has a date of March 31, 2015. Placeholder…?

So amazing, it looks like a modern version of Chakan: The Forever Man. I'm gonna get this mother…. unless it comes out of the closet as free to play.
No way its going to be free lol.
I hear its going to be easier than the Souls games, the director said sony wouldn't allow them to make such a hardcore exclusive…which for me is a little saddening but the positive side he still said it would give you the sense of accomplishment that the souls games gave.
So I dunno I will just have to wait and play it. But man is it looking sweet.
I guess a difficulty setting might be good then .So all type of gamer could be happy .
Not sad for me. Probably the only reason I don't play games like Dark Souls is because of the forbidding difficulty. I simply don't have the time.
I get that Ben the game does take a good deal of patience and time.
However some of the fans think it should be kept that way, you know don't change the game so more people can enjoy it but make it for the fans of hardcore difficulty.
I don't play the souls series because its hard, I do because its different. So if this game is easier but still unique and different than what is on the market I'm down 🙂
Oh, I know how fan ardor can be concerning certain games and franchises. 😉
But this isn't a Dark Souls entry, so there's no problem. From Software can save that demanding difficulty for Dark Souls III and yes, I do believe they should keep it for the faithful followers.
Exactly Ben 🙂
Hopefully thats what they do, make this franchise more widely appealing and then keep releasing souls games to appeal to that demographic.

uhh…. no.
Its Demons Souls but much quicker. Seriously, play Demons Souls Ben. It's much better than the ones that came after it.
The hack n slash screen dashing combat inside an extremely dark and sinister world sounds like enough of a Dark Souls and GoW mix imo
I played and reviewed Demon's Souls. And Bloodborne clearly has more of an action emphasis.
Those 2 games are night and day imo don't know how it could mix em.
This is gonna be sweet. Day one for me.
It's more like 80% Dark Souls and 20% GOW.
Though from the footage, I doubt that we can just slash away like how we always do in GOW or Darksiders.
Will play this regardless of the increase in speed.
Miyazaki is a brilliant game director and this game is going to be ballin.
I just hope we don't have a static main character. I would like to have the character creation that we had in the Souls games.
Already seen this video about 2 weeks ago or so. Odd.
PS4 purchase confirmed. I don't mind the speed as long as the gameplay accommodates and rewards precision.
well i can handle dark souls but this is just a bit to dark and messed up for me if you don't mind.
happy gaming =)
