E3 2014: New Games From Giant Squid And Suda 51

Several new PlayStation 4 games have been revealed during Sony's press conference, and many look pretty fantastic.

For instance, there's the latest twisted new IP from Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture called Let It Die ; the live-action trailer was definitely pretty sick.

Then there's the new one – called Abzu – from the talented team at Giant Squid; the game reminds one of Journey …except this one is underwater, as opposed to a desert setting. It looks just as involving and artistically inspired as Thatgamecompany's award-winner, so we can't wait to check it out.

Oh, and they just showed off Hello Games' No Man's Sky , which could end up being one of the most ambitious projects of the generation. The trailer is very intriguing, and the developers have said the game will be different for everyone, as everyone will start in a completely different part of the vast universe. How awesome is that?

Let it Die was definitely…uh…unique.

Okay, original but still all this indie caca. Yea, I'm being snarky. Still not overly impressed with anything as of yet.

Also, the Ustream sucks. The one on PS4 keeps stating the broadcast has been cancelled even after multiple attempts to refresh it.

If you advertise something, $hit should work!

I started to get worried during the indie stuff too, but it picked up after.

Oooh PS TV and a bundle with it in North America. LAST GEN crapola again!

Actually this is a great idea. Gamers keep hollering that they want to be able to play their old games, PS4 won't let them. So why not have some new, cheap hardware that handles some basic Playstation functions? Plus nobody wants to buy a Vita but they do want to play the games, this is a good way to do it.

The Let It Die thing looked like it could be good but it also looked like it was just multiplayer or something. It will depend on that and the actual graphics and such for me. I don't like live action trailers, ever.

I'm thinking Lily Bergamo looks better right now:

These games all just looked weird, and not weird in a good way either…

Is Abzu actually made by the same people that made Journey as they made it sound like during the conf? Because at least in this footage it doesn't look nearly as good or refined as flower/journey…

I don't get what anyone sees in No man's sky?? That's just another of those weird-looking indie games shown at the sony e3 conference and I don't see what looks so fun or good about it?!
