One of the most off-the-wall shooters in existence is coming to the PlayStation 4.
As Edge of Reality creative director Mark Nau announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the colorful third-person shooter Loadout is headed to Sony's new console. No date just yet, but let's hope it's soon!
As for the basic gist of the game, Nau sums it up nicely:
"Loadout is a game that lets you concoct the weapon of your dreams and/or nightmares from hundreds of component parts, and share their payloads with your friends in fast-paced matches, with violently comedic results. Giant death beam? We’ve got it covered. Bouncy Tesla balls? Sure. Laser-guided cluster-bomb rockets? Hey, we’re not here to judge. Loadout has literally billions of different weapon combinations, and you can wield every last one of them once we launch on PS4. We’re going to be adjusting all the scopes and balancing the barrels so your weapons of choice feel right at home on DualShock 4."
Sounds super fun. Edge of Reality is also using the PS4's power to make the game really shine, so we're all in for a very big treat. Loadout is a free-to-play production, which means it's free to download and play but if you want to pick up some extra goodies, you have to fork over some real cash. Since launching on PC earlier this year, the game has reached 3 million players, so that's a good sign, right?

In as much the gore factor is something to be careful who gets to play it. Looks to be a fun for those of us who need to just to do some shooting and cause total mayhem.
Looks gruesome.. .looks like a fun and a touch of humor to spice it up.
Should be a hit on the PS4
Keep playing!
That's really creepy looking.
It's a decently fun game, but there still hasn't been many maps added to the game. Still, the maps that are there are pretty good and the action can get downright brutal at times. Worth a play for those that are interested. Though be prepared to spend some money if you want a lot of the customization options for your character, as you don't earn the credits needed for most them in-game.
