Sorry, Guerrilla Won’t Be Showing Off Their New IP At E3

Earlier this year, rumor had it that Killzone developer Guerrilla Games was working on a role-playing game for the PlayStation 4.

Furthermore, some sources believed the team would show it off during the PlayStation press conference at E3 this year. That would be a hugely anticipated presentation, don't you think?

Unfortunately, during a recent Reddit AMA , a fan asked Guerrilla senior online producer Samrat Sharma if the new IP would be featured at E3. Sharma's disappointing response:

"No, we won't be showing it right now.

Simple reason: we are confident enough in the game, but it's not something we can show and expect reasonable feedback. There is simply a lot of work that we need to do before we show it to our fans."

Well, that sucks. They could've really blown the roof off that venue if this new IP (supposedly an RPG) showed up. We don't even know if it is indeed an RPG; all we know is that it's "completely different" than the Killzone franchise. Looks like the project is a little farther off than we had hoped.

They'll show it off still most likely. The internet has a way of spreading information quickly which completely ruins surprises. What better way to end it all by saying "Its a lie, not showing it, leave."

If not than thats alright too. Can't go all in so early into the gen anyways.

Curses! Something to compete with the Mass Effect series would be nice. Besides, who doesn't want to see an FPS focuses developer tackle a WRPG? It's practically a science experiment.

Booooooo! Me want now. I hope the Sony presentation doesn't turn into IndieFest 2014, although that has a high likelihood of happening. *sits down and waits for Destiny*
