As you might expect, there will be a beta test for the freshly announced Battlefield: Hardline .
And it appears that the beta might be exclusive to Sony's next-gen console.
IGN readers who registered for Sony's unique "E3 Experience" next week (where you register to watch the PlayStation press conference in a movie theater) were emailed a beta code. And yeah, that code is only good on the PS4.
The beta sample will include "two new game modes" that you can test out on a map called High Tension. Additionally, an anonymous source told IGN that the Hardline beta is real and it is coming to the PS4 later this year. As for whether or not it'll be available to Xbox One or PC owners as well, we don't know, but we wouldn't be surprised if it was exclusive to PS4. Don't forget that all DLC for the Battlefield series typically comes first to PlayStation platforms.
And of course, there will be other ways of landing a spot in that beta, so stay tuned.

After the debacle that was BF4, I think I will be skipping this one.
Cool, but EA needs to make up their mind about who they want to appeal too. One minute they insult the playstation fans intelligence, the next they're begging us to buy their products.
insulting our intelligence? How so?
yeah as much as i love battlefield in general i just don't know about it since bf4 i don't think i'll get this behind this untill i see some one play it first cos EA have been screwing up too much stuff for me to trust them right now.
happy gaming =)
