Time to team up and grab a pitchfork.
Okay, you'll probably have better weapons, but the point is that Crytek has revealed HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age , which is coming to consoles and PC. No specific platforms or a date was given, but it'll be on display at E3 next week.
This new IP is a third-person action game where up to four players band together to fight off onslaughts of bloodthirsty creatures. Featuring "breathtaking bosses" and awesomely intense co-op gameplay, HUNT is the debut title from Crytek USA, and will be published by Crytek as part of the company's growing Games-as-a-Service initiative. Said Crytek USA CEO David Adams:
"In HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age, players will be counting their bullets and crying out for help as they delve deeper into the shadowy world we've created. From the outset of the development process, we've poured our imaginations into the game so that everyone who plays HUNT will discover a challenging experience that feels fresh, captivating and rich in possibilities."
The setting is the late 1800s, and all those myths and folklore stories are actually reports of fact. Terrifying evil lurks just about everywhere, and players must be willing to risk death with every step. The game will also boast a special content generation system that "ensures players never encounter exactly the same environment or set of enemies twice."

Meh.
+1
Crytek make alright games
More about visuals than substance though.
That's what I think they are trying to change so let's hope their new games can change this opinion, because I agree with you.
Co-op games…. meh
That is basically how the market reacts to them, I don't know why people keep making them.
MUCH MUCH better to make a SP game with co-op capabilities, not the other way around.
not sure about this game just yet but i have a feeling its gunna be a TPS(3rd person) shooter just by this initial layout.
happy gaming =)
