Several key members at Naughty Dog have left in 2014, so it's no surprise that they've had to scramble a bit.
After Amy Hennig, who was scheduled to direct the new Uncharted entry, left to go work on Star Wars , the team needed a replacement. And as studio co-president Evan Wells told Game Informer , a couple veterans are stepping in.
The Last Of Us co-directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann are now going to lead the PlayStation 4 debut of the award-winning franchise. It's not a temporary transition, either; these two guys are set to lead the project. After all, both worked on the first two Uncharted titles; in fact, Straley was the game director for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Druckmann was the lead designer for Among Thieves . Said Wells:
"It was not a difficult transition at all. Everybody just sort of accepted that as the new order of things and soldiered on. I mean we've been making enormous progress. If anything, things are accelerating instead of slowing down."
Co-president Christophe Balestra admitted that with different people at the top, there will be some changes. "They have to fall in love with the game they're making, right?" However, I think we all know what Naughty Dog is capable of, and we all have super high expectations for Uncharted 4 , regardless of who's in charge.
UC4 is likely the game to make me take the plunge to acquiring a PS4
NOOOO THEY LEFT AND ND IS FINISHED AND SONY IS EVIL AND ND GAMES WILL BE BAD NOW NOOOOOO
Cool that Neil's working on it. As I said before, I hope Uncharted takes an adult theme to it. Because TLOU was amazing.
You know you're doing well when all the internal gears move like they're properly greased.
Uncharted was too scripted.Make it more like the last of us which has 2 ways to playing the game.

Which two were those? TLoU was completely scripted.
stealth or killing everything
So like… sections of Uncharted where you could use stealth or kill everything?
yeah but try to make the whole game have that choice, like finish the whole game using stealth.
Well, both TLOU and UC had sections that required either an action or stealth approach, completely scripted. I hope they do whatever is necessary for story.
Why can't they make games more like Metal Gear Solid where there is choice, variety and still they do whatever necessary for story.
Really Kojima is the master of game design.
I heard MGSV game dev's saying the stealth in The Last of US is more like MGS1 stealth and so much more can be done.
You really can't shoot your way through TLoU, I tried and the enemy spawning makes it impracticable if not not impossible.
World there is no enemy respawn, i know we have had this discussion bedore. I beat the game 3 times and everytime i was able to clear every area of enemies.
I don't think there's a respawn either, but World is still right. I don't know if you have near infinite amounts of ammo in the easiest difficulty, but in most areas, there's no way in heck you have enough ammunition to run in and gun everything down a la CoD style. Especially with multiple clickers running around.
The ammo just isn't there even if you headshot everything.
spawn, not respawn. When you make an alert there are more enemies to fight than there would have been to sneak past.
well that said i guess thats a good thing we'll see in due time
happy gaming =)
