Back in February, Bethesda revealed August release dates for The Evil Within .
Now, however, the publisher has sent word that Shinji Mikami's horrifying new IP won't be ready at that time. The anticipated title will now launch in North America on October 21, two days later in Australia, and three days later in Europe.
Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks "have asked for additional time to further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create." Okay, so you've got to wait a couple more months; no big deal, right? Besides, now you get to look forward to the game's pre-order incentive: The Fighting Chance Pack.
Nah, it's not cheating. It just gives you a bit more of an advantage and based on what we know of the game, you might need it.
