Team 17 has announced that Worms Battlegrounds is headed to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month. In North America, the game will arrive on the Xbox One on May 30, and on June 3 on the PS4. In Europe, both games will hit on May 30.
The latest silly yet highly strategic installment in the long-running series looks sweet. We'll get 10 new weapons, including the Winged Monkey, Gravedigger and The Equalizer, and on the campaign side, there are 25 story missions and 10 time attack missions. Multiplayer allows for four-player deathmatch and new fort modes in both local and online varieties. There are even a few console-specific features:
On the PS4, the DualShock 4's light bar changes color depending on the status of your worm party. Not sure if I'll be looking down at my controller to check on that, but whatever. In the Xbox One version, players can utilize SmartGlass to keep track of stats.

So many good memories with the old Worms 2 Armageddon demo. I thought I just really liked Worms, but in retro spec it was mostly just the nostalgia of that demo running on that Windows 95 Packard Bell PC.
It really is/was a well done game. Even the demo never got old.
That voiceover is godawful. Game looks as fun as ever though. Would consider buying.

LOVE worms spent so much of my childhood playing that, so i cant wait to dive into another one!
