Tribute Games has confirmed over at the PlayStation Blog that Mercenary Kings will arrive on the PlayStation 4 on April 1. Yeah, you can consider it an April Fool's joke if you want.
Choose between Empress and King, two members of an elite squad known as the Mercenary Kings. Then, explore Mandragora Island with the ultimate goal of rescuing Dr. James Neil from the forces of C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyal Active Weapons). If you fail, the evil organization will use Neil's secret Mandrake Formula to rule the world. You can either take on the noble quest yourself, or you can team up; as many as four players can participate, via local or online multiplayer.
The materials you gather during your adventure can be forged into powerful cannons or sharp blades, and there are over 300 gun parts and 100+ knives! Ever heard of a side-scrolling action game with such a deep customization option? Well, now you have.

yay more little games I don't care about.
I doubt anyone bought a PS4 so they could play these kind of games.
Yeah… That's right. These indies and small games are nice and all… But there is a problem when there are more of those than AAA's.
I bought my PS4 for BOTH AAA feasts and little, well-made indie sandwiches. I love both.
I picked up my PS4 to play games, big and small. So far, my three faves are KZ (big), War Thunder (medium) and Don't Starve (small). One thing I'll never do as a gamer, though, is complain about more games and greater choice. Sure, some of them won't be for me, but the more choice there is, the more likely a good number will :).

But I have a feeling I'd be a little bug-eyed after spending countless hours developing and playing this game…but it does look kind of fun in that old-school gaming kind of way…if the price is right, might be one to consider…
I cant wait to play this game. The older I get, and I am old, the more I tend to want to play the older games. Love me some 2d.
