Yakuza: Dead Souls Shambles Into US Stores In March

See? We almost always get the new Yakuza titles…we just gotta be patient.

Up until now, you knew it as Yakuza: Of The End , which is the Japanese title. But it'll be called Yakuza: Dead Souls when it releases in North America; Sega has confirmed it'll arrive in the US in March 2012 .

In more good news, this won't be a straight port of the Japanese version. Sega is tossing in all the downloadable content, plus they'll include an all-new Pachislot mini-game, so this will be a complete package. The latest Yakuza marks a departure from past iterations in the franchise; this time, protagonist Kazuma Kiryu will receive the help of three allies, and they'll face off against a horde of undead foes. On top of which, firearms will be featured for the very first time in the series, which has met with some criticism from the die-hard fans.

But we're optimistic. Sega has yet to make a sub-par Yakuza , so they've earned our trust in this respect. Zombies, guns…yeah, but Kazuma is still a bad-ass, and we're still expecting another solid and engrossing storyline.
