It's just another reason to check out the PlayStation Store on a weekly basis.
Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced "Only On PlayStation Network," a new program that boasts a continuous stream of exclusive downloadable titles releasing throughout the month of October.
It all starts tomorrow, and a few games you can expect to see are Eufloria , inFamous: Festival of Blood , and PixelJunk Sidescroller . As an additional incentive, PlayStation Plus members will receive a 20% discount during the launch week of each "Only On PlayStation Network" game. Furthermore, PSN and Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) users are eligible to receive $10 in-store credit in November if they spent $60 or more in October. That $60 can be used towards anything, too; it doesn't have to be spent on the titles in this promotion. Said Susan Panico, SCEA senior director of the PlayStation Network:
"‘Only On PlayStation Network’ is our line of great exclusive games that users can count on to deliver exciting game experiences that can’t be found anywhere else. This strong initial content offering, combined with the day one discounts for PlayStation Plus subscribers and the ‘Spend $60, Get $10 Back’ promotion, makes PlayStation Network the premier destination for digital content."
It all begins tomorrow with Eufloria and Rochard , and then continues next week with Sideway: New York and a Sodium Collection, a cool Home value pack that includes the SodiumOne Pilot's Jacket, which unlocks the full 50-level tank combat Salt Shooter game, and weapon upgrades for your SodiumOne tank. Personally, I'm excited for that standalone inFamous: Festival of Blood .
Last but certainly not least, the "Only On PlayStation Network" initiative will feature several rare classic games that will arrive tomorrow. This includes cool titles like GrimGrimoire , God Hand , Maximo: Ghosts to Glory , Odin Sphere , and Ring of Red . Man, I remember most of those!
God hand AND Maximo!? I'm on it! I miss the Maximo games and people slept on God Hand! amazing game and super fun for action junkies!
Is God Hand really good? It's an open world game right?
Give me more inFAMOUS 2 already, Sony! I need my fix!! *scratches neck repetitively*
I like this new PS2 classics program. Let's see some more Clover Studio love by releasing Viewtiful Joe and Okami, Capcom. Please?

What about PayDay:The Heist isn't that releasing tomorrow as well?
An was this what they were suppose to announce or is that at a later time, watched some video last week..
put in ffxi and im sold
I wonder if this is a reaction from the 360 sharing former PS2 only games (like MGS3). Anything to fully bring over the PS2 crowd isn't so bad, I guess. At least those who had a PS2 but didn't get to try some of those titles now have a chance to get it 🙂
What…? mgs was already on xbox and gamecube.
So, they're finally releasing PS2 games for download? This seems like it should be bigger news!

Actually they've been doing that for quite a while. Just sayin'
"And the Playstation hits just keep on coming"
I need to pick up some PSN cards ASAP cause I'll be all over that new game, "Eufloria".
I've also got to check out Rochard too & see what it's like.
Why is this the first of me hearing that all of these PS2 games are being released on PSN? Are they just being emulated like PS1 Classics, or did they get some sort of HD facelift? I NEED TO KNOW!
