We can't wait for Soul Calibur V and one of our favorite characters has always been Ivy. Of course, we're not alone in that; the purple-haired, high-heel-wearing, snake-blade-swinging vixen has almost become the mascot for the franchise. That being said, check out how Russia is promoting the new fighter: it's all about the Ivy cosplay for the sake of a photo shoot and although we're missing the resemblance in terms of facial structure, the costume isn't bad.
This begs the question, though: what other SCV characters should they try? I'm thinkin' Sophitia. That'd be a good one. Actually, come to think of it, they really need to do this for that new Dead or Alive that's finally headed our way. …just don't do another movie, for God's sake.

Shes beautiful and all but Ivy portrayed by the typical skinny model doesn't work, they needed someone with more curves.
I have to agree she's cute, but shes too damn skinny.
Sophitia = Not too skinny blonde model with a pretty face, add about 5 ounces of chiffon in layers, then apply a few assorted quarter sized metal plates strategically sewn in place.
As I have said, no Sophitia, no purchase….
This is about Ivy; where did Sophitia come from out of this???
I'm not impressed, her close up shots in the video above remind me of a red light district corner dweller

Ivy was never my mainstay, I witnessed the birth of the Nightmare (Siegfried!!! anyone?). Even still, the woman totally lacked the Ivy "feeling" you know? The pose was stiff, the weapon looked goofy… Either the market they were advertising to isn't us, or aren't gamers, because it didn't look like enough effort was put into it. The DMC4 photo from way back when looked better I think in terms of being serious.
Unless they used a model with the SAME breast size as Ivy, I'm gonna have to say this Ivy is 'meh'.
