If you're a JRPG fanatic, chances are, you tried out NIS America's Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia , but you may have been surprised at the result. It was one of the most unique games in existence, and even weirder than other cult classic hits like GrimGrimoire and Phantom Brave . We'd try to describe the pic here…but we'd rather not.
Instead, according to Joystiq, we can tell you that a sequel is on the way to the PS2. NIS refuses to abandon the PS2, and given the wonderful response from RPG fans on that platform, why should they? Ar Tonelico included some very original gameplay, including dating sim aspects prominently featured amidst plenty of storyline loaded down with sexual innuendo. Seriously, NIS very nearly stepped over the line with the original, so we can only imagine what they have planned for Ar Tonelico 2 . It should release in December, and yes, it should be coming to North America so don't you fret, JRPG lovers. As for the premise of the second title, you'll have to "manage relationships between the game's sultry mechanical dolls known as Reyvateils." Er…basically, this means if you can get them more enamored with each other, the more powerful the dolls become.
Well…sure. We'll go with that. Japanese anime has always boasted a goodly amount of sexy content, and Ar Tonelico 2 should deliver that stuff in spades. Heh.
