Lara Croft Invades Europe On June 1

Euro-gamers, get ready: Eidos has confirmed that Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary for the PS2 and PC will be arriving in stores on June 1 , and the PSP version will show up "shortly after."

If you didn't already know, this game is a remake of the original title, so it'll feature all of your ol' friends and locales, from the deep, dank caves to roaming dinosaurs. But as is the case with most remakes lately, the developers are including a variety of different gameplay dynamics and presentation goodies. They've even ramped up the AI for this particular remake, along with adding even more challenging puzzles.

"Our goal was to capture the essence of what made the original Tomb Raider game such an incredible adventure, and use this to create a brand new Tomb Raider game," said Sean Vesce, studio manager at Crystal Dynamics. "Building on the technology, tools and experience we developed for Tomb Raider: Legend, we've created Anniversary, a completely fresh experience for Tomb Raider fans and a brand new game for those who are new to the series."

We don't have a release date for the PSP version, but we'll assume that "shortly after" means within the next month or so.
