Eureka Seven: The New Vision Eyes U.S. Release

Namco Bandai has announced they will bring Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision for the PS2 to the U.S. Based on the popular anime series in Japan, the title is a sequel (notice the Vol. 2, duh) to last October's Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave .

Well, let's be specific- it's not a sequel, but a prequel, to both the previous game and the show itself. The New Vision sports aerial combat designed to give the player a high-flying feel of total immersion into the exciting Eureka Seven universe.

"Eureka Seven Vol.2 has ties to the main animation storyline but will provide original content that enhances the Eureka Seven experience," said Naruo Uchida, Namco Bandai's Vice President of Bandai Localization.

The hero has the unforgettable name of Summer Sturgeon, who just so happens to be an air-sport star. When an old flame seeks his help to erase a dangerous plot, Summer embarks on an adventure that will culminate in…well, in the beginning of the anime series.

Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision is slated for release in Japan on December 31, and in North America some time in the spring.
