Delta Force Getting Down With PS2

Last week, Sierra Entertainment (a division of Vivendi Games) and NovaLogic announced they'd be co-publishing Delta Force: Black Hawk Down – Team Sabre for an exclusive release on the PS2 this November.

Black Hawk Down – Team Sabre will feature the traditional first-person action combined with a completely new set of characters, new unit and squad commands, and a new set of weapons. And in addition to two fresh single-player campaigns, the game will sport the largest multiplayer combat missions on the PS2: Up to 32 players can play online at once, and you'll have seven game types to choose from.

"We are excited to team with NovaLogic to publish the next action-packed version of the popular Delta Force series exclusively for PlayStation 2 users," said Cindy Cook, chief strategy and marketing officer for Vivendi Games. "Fans of the series, or gamers experiencing the action for the first time, will undoubtedly enjoy the massively multiplayer online capabilities as well as the formidable new missions set in South America and Iran." There's more good news when we get to the price- the manufacturer has suggested a reasonable tag of $29.99. Keep an eye on the store shelves for this one.
