2K Games, a publishing label of Take-Two, announced today a deal with Twentieth Century Fox giving the game company a license to produce video games based on the Family Guy TV series.

"The irreverent and satirical Family Guy humor that has made the show a smash hit opens up exciting and untapped possibilities in game development," said Christoph Hartmann, managing director of 2K Games.

Family Guy creator, Seth MacFarlane, is said to be directly involved in the project, which will be developed by High-Voltage Software and published by the 2K Games label sometime within the next 9 to 12 months.
