2K Games has reached an exclusive worldwide agreement to publish videogames based on The Da Vinci Code film by Ron Howard, which is based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel. In case you hadn't heard, The Da Vinci Code is the best-selling novel of all time, selling more than 38 million copies, and has spent more than two years on the New York Times best-seller list.

"We are thrilled to work with Sony Pictures on one of its most anticipated film properties," said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director at 2K Games. "The Da Vinci Code is exactly the type of high-caliber licensed property 2K Games looks for when developing movie-based games."

As expected, the game's release is timed to coincide with the film's theatrical release, which is May 2006.
