Ubisoft Opens Quebec City Location

Ubisoft has opened a new office in Quebec City, according to a press release. Ubisoft will start with 75 jobs in Quebec City this year. The new production studio will be located in the heart of the Saint-Roch district at 390, Charest East.

"We are in Quebec City for its talent and its dynamic nature. Our objective is to build a studio where creativity and technological know how will come together to create world class games," said Martin Tremblay, president and chief operating officer of Ubisoft Canada.

Ubisoft was established in Montreal in 1997 and employs 1100 developers there. Ubisoft announced on February 1, 2005 its intention to invest 700 M$ CAD over five years and create 1000 new jobs in Quebec by 2010, bringing its total number of employees to 2000 in the province.
