Namco has just announced "MotoGP4," the latest installment in the long-running motorcycle racing series. MotoGP4 is planned for release exclusively on the PlayStation 2 in Q3 of 2005.

“Meticulously modeled after real-world motorcycles, riders and courses, 'MotoGP4' ranks in its own class when it comes to authentic racing on two wheels,” said Yoshi Niki, Business Unit Director with Namco Hometek Inc. “The addition of all three engine classes adds a new level of enjoyment to the game, letting gamers test their passion for grand prix racing.”

MotoGP4 promises intense realism and speed with an advanced physics engine, authentic rider animations and multiple weather conditions. Players can take part in professional racing across all three engine classes from the 2004 season, including MotoGP, 125cc and 250cc throughout 16 accurately recreated tracks from around the world. Boasting a larger selection of playable racing legends than ever before, "MotoGP4" lets players choose from racers such as Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey, Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner and the late Daijiro Kato.
