Details have leaked out about a taped interview with Francis Ford Coppola due to air this Sunday on AMC's "Sunday Morning Shootout."
In the interview, Coppola reveals that Paramount never notified him of its plans to produce a video game based on the Godfather movies. "I knew nothing about it. They never asked me if I thought it was a good idea," Coppola said.
Coppola was given a private preview of the game recently, which he also mentions in the interview. "They use the characters everyone knows, and then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other. I had absolutely nothing to do with the game and I disapprove."
You can tune in to AMC's "Sunday Morning Shootout" this Sunday to see the full interview. We'll put up some choice tidbits on Monday's update.
The Godfather video game, being developed and published by Electronic Arts, is due out this coming October.
