Atari has revealved that it is developing and publishing The Matrix: Path of Neo, an all new game that takes place in The Matrix universe.
In the game, you'll play as "Neo," and relive his most important and memorable scenarios from the complete film trilogy. The game will be scripted and directed by the Wachowski Brothers. The likenesses of all of the films' key actors – including Keanu Reeves ("Neo"), Laurence Fishburne ("Morpheus"), Carrie-Ann Moss ("Trinity), and Hugo Weaving ("Agent Smith") – will be featured in the game. Path of Neo will also include footage from all three feature films, as well as The Animatrix.
"I'm very happy to continue my collaboration with Larry and Andy on all things Matrix and beyond," said Joel Silver, producer of the Matrix film trilogy. "Enter The Matrix added another exciting chapter to the legend. I'm thrilled that we are further expanding and exploring the vast Matrix universe through The Matrix: Path of Neo."
The game is slated for worldwide release in Q4 2005 and will be available on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC.
