Vietcong Ad Pulled in UK

An advert for Take-Two Interactive's Vietcong: Purple Haze has been banned in the UK for a cheeky reference to the chemical weapon Napalm. The posters and billboards for the game contained the quote: "Napalm never smelt this good," which was taken from a preview published in OPM UK (Official PlayStation Monthly UK).

Seven people complained to the UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and the ASA sent down a ban, saying that the quote was "likely to cause serious or widespread offense".

Take-Two Interactive apologized for the advertisement and promised to remove the line from future ads.
