Those of you that keep track of what Oddworld Inhabitants is up to may recall that Microsoft dropped the upcoming "Oddworld 3" from its release schedule (last year), ostensibly because the game was overbudget and behind schedule.
Electronic Arts stepped in to pick up the rights to the game, and today announced a name and a date for it–Oddword: Stranger's Wrath, shipping January 25, 2005.
However, in a twist sure to ruffle PS2 fans' feathers, EA Games has removed the PS2 version from the release schedule. Originally, the game was to be multi-platform and both versions were to supposed ship on the same day. Now, it looks like the Xbox game will ship first, and the PS2 game may ship later (or not be released at all.).
