New information out of Namco about its upcoming PSP Ridge Racer game. First, it has an official name now–Ridge Racers.

The title change was made to better reflect the fact that a good portion of the tracks and cars in the game, as well as its graphics and audio, are being lifted from previous Ridge Racer games.

If that weren't enough, Namco has revived Reiko Nagase to be the PSP game's mascot. Longtime fans will remember her as the video vixen from the PSOne Ridge Racer games.

Ridge Racers is currently 90% complete and will ship in December for the PSP (Japan) and in the US when Sony launches the system here. When finished, the game will include at least 24 different tracks, 12 different cars, and a WiFi wireless race mode for at least 4 human-controlled cars.
