If you didn't see this coming after NBA and NFL street, here's the official news: EA's currently developing FIFA Street for all three consoles, and it's set to be released next year.
The game will feature licensed soccer players going against each other in four-a-side and one on one matches in urban locations worldwide. It will also feature a career mode where a team can climb through the rankings by gaining "street cred". You know, cause there's so much "street cred" for soccer players.
"We are stripping the sport down to its core," according to senior producer Wil Mozell, "and delivering a game that's all about freestyle attitude and individual skill, something I believe is at the heart of every football fan."
While fans of Sega's excellent Soccer Slam are pleased, I'm sure there are more than a few people wondering how this one is going to turn out. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.
