Aaron ThomasTHQ and Nickelodeon today announced Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and Game Boy Advance, has shipped to retail outlets throughout North America. The predecessor to this title, Tak and the Power of Juju, was the first property released under THQ and Nickelodeon's joint venture.
"We are delighted that the success of Tak, the first title in our unprecedented 'games first' agreement with THQ, has lead to a sequel for this holiday," said Steve Youngwood, senior vice president, Nickelodeon Media Products Group. "Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams is sure to draw gamers back to the brand with a more mature Tak, amazing dream elements, new Juju powers and unique spirit animals."
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams will continue following Tak on his adventures against evil. However, players will take on the role of a more experienced Tak as he goes on an epic adventure that will require him to learn all new Juju magic in order to recover the Nightmare Scepter and defeat the evil shaman, Tlaloc. Players will maneuver Tak, armed with new Juju abilities. He will master the ancient Juju magic of animals, allowing him to morph into creatures and accumulate the power of a Spirit Animal.
