People have been asking about the fate of Growlanser: Generations, the two-game RPG set for PS2 that was supposed to come out in April, then July, then September, and now–as some retailers are reporting–in mid-October.
Victor Ireland of Working Designs posted a status update to the company's Internet message board yesterday–"Both games are done and in the final approval process. We haven't given stores a new date because we don't know how backed-up Sony is on the manufacturing side yet, but I think 10/19 is optimistic, to say the least. Early Nov is more realistic."
So there you have it. The translation is done and manufacturing is set to begin.
FYI, Growlanser: Generations will include both Growlanser II: The Sense of Justice and Growlanser III: The Dual Darkness. The original Growlanser was released for the PSOne, but only in Japan.
In keeping with Working Designs tradition, two versions of the game will be released. One, the regular edition, will retail for $49.99. The other, a "Deluxe Pack," will retail for $89.99 and include a game-themed analog watch and accompanying case, a game-themed ring and chain set with storage pouch, a deck of Growlanser playing cards, and a CD containing 25 songs from both games.
