Koei has announced that Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires has gone gold for the PlayStation 2 and will ship on August 31.
DW4: Empires is being developed by Koei's Omega Force team, and the latest installment of the tactical action franchise "introduces a new stage and strategy system to the series' frenetic battlefield action." Under this new system, players start in one region of Ancient China and then, using a map fractured into 24 regions, players can choose another area to either invade or defend. Rated "T" (Teen), Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires will retail for $29.99
