Manhunt Being Pulled Off Shelves In England

Many people speculated that it was just a matter of time before Manhunt caused a big stir in the general public, and it looks like that's finally happened over in England. Following the murder of 14-year old Stefan Pakeerah by 17-year old Warren Le Blanc, Pakeerah’s parents called for a ban of the game Manhunt, which Le Blanc apparently was a self-avowed fan of. Le Blanc allegedly killed his victim by beating him with a claw hammer and by stabbing him with a knife.

Reuters quoted Patrick Pakeerah as saying, “Stefan's murder compares to how the game is set out, using weapons like hammers and knives. If games like this influence kids, they should be taken off the shelves." England’s largest electronics chain, Dixons, has responded to the outcry over the game by pulling Manhunt from its shelves.
