It looks like loads of people have taken Sega up on their sexy $19.99 price point for the recent ESPN NFL 2K5.
The glut of new users taking advantage of the game's online capabilities has apparently put quite a bit of strain on the servers.
Users have been reporting log-on difficulties, disconnections, and problems accepting challenges with other users.
ESPN Videogames posted a quick note on their message board today, the meat of which consists of:
"There will be a server update on July 30, 2004 that will attempt to address the login and roster problems some of you are experiencing."
So… stay cool, bro (or sis, if you're one of the world's 20 female video game playing football fans) — things should be running smoother in a few days.
