Reuters is reporting that sales of EA Sports' NCAA Football 2005 are up 50 percent in the first week compared to first-week sales of last year's NCAA Football 2004.

Sales of the PS2 version are up 30 percent compared to the same time last year. Sales of the GameCube version are up 40 percent. And sales of the Xbox version are up more than 100 percent!!

NCAA Football 2004 set sales records for the company and was the No. 2 football title of 2003, behind Madden NFL 2004.

It looks like NCAA Football 2005 will set new records, especially on Xbox, where it is the first game from EA Sports to support Microsoft's Xbox Live service. (The PS2 version also has on-line play)
